All about GemZooGemZoo was founded in 2003, by Glen Johnson, a (G.I.A) qualified Gemmologist and Diamonds Graduate who had previously started Johnson Valuation Services when moving to Tauranga in 1999. In the jewellery trade from the tender age of 16 he now has an extensive knowledge of Diamonds, Gems and Jewellery.
This extensive knowledge combined with over a decade of specialist insurance assessing experience, enables Glen to produce detailed accurate insurance Valuations to help protect your treasured pieces. Viewing and reporting on jewellery for so many years Glen has a real understanding of jewellery through the years and it's effect on people and its value. What makes it valuable? Is it the diamond?, the gold? or what it means to someone? Sentimental value? These questions is where GemZoo's "for the love of jewellery" was born.
